Fathers Forum Project
What the Fathers Forum is here to do:
The Fathers Forum is a project run by the NLMCC and sponsored by Sure Start. The project aims to achieve better outcomes for fathers and their children by;
- increasing the interactivity and bond between father and child;
- providing a safe and enjoyable environment for fathers and their children;
- improving health and emotional development for young children;
- supporting men in their aspirations towards being a better and more involved father.
How will we achieve our aims?
We will achieve our aims by;
- organising indoor and outdoor events throughout the year which fathers and their children can attend
- incorporating activities and planning within our events to promote better health and interactivity for father and child
- organising parenting sessions for fathers to educate and improve their understanding of their children and fatherhood.
Our achievements so far?
We have achieved and planned the following:
- an outdoor event to Paradise Wildlife Park
- indoor events to Kids Mania and Zoomaround (many more to come)
