Have your say and help shape the future of Hackney’s Children’s Centres

As Hackney’s Children’s Centres turn 12 years old, Hackney Council would like to find out what residents think about the services they provide.

Why do we need your feedback?

By hearing from parents and carers who have used, currently use or may use children’s centres in the future, the Council hopes to find out about the services residents value and how they could be improved in the future.

Parents and carers will also be asked for their feedback about childcare subsidies, following changes approved by Cabinet last month.

What happens next?

The information will help to shape the future of Hackney’s children’s centres, ensuring that services reflect local needs and continue to support outcomes of children at risk of underachievement.

It will also feed into an ongoing piece of work to make efficiency savings. Despite Hackney Council’s Government grant being cut by nearly half, to date they have protected our children’s centres by finding savings elsewhere.

However, they are now running out of options and must look at how to make savings from this budget too.
